thanksgiving

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever.

it's a beautiful autumn day, it's thanksgiving, and it's occassions like today (but not exclusively) that i think about all that i'm thankful for. there are many blessings for sure - some quality friends, loving family (and my rad dog). but pretty much, it comes down to God being good, and for that I am truly thankful. even when life seemed tough just a short while ago, i could see how those circumstances were pointing me in God's direction, for direction, answers, abiding in Him etc. so tough times are no fun at all, in fact if i could avoid almost all of them at all costs, i probably would. but to give thanks in all circumstances is what i want to aim for. so if you're celebrating thanksgiving this weekend, I hope it's a good time. for those of you who aren't just think about all the turkey dinners at rockridge with warm memories. mmm,..turkey ;-)
